Hawthorn Woods now allows stone veneer

The Village of Hawthorn Woods in Lake County Il, is now allowing home owners the opportunity to update the look of their home with the use of thin stone veneers. In the past, the village allowed only real stone to be used on the home for both new construction and remodeling. Check with the Building Department first to make sure you meet their criteria.

North Star Stone, Inc. has recently completed two of the first stone veneer projects in the late fall of 2009.  The Village Architect, Jeff Pathman was instrumental in getting the changes approved.
